Finnish DJ / producer Jesse Kiis has always had a passion for music. From the age of 5, Jesse began playing the piano before eventually going on to compose his own songs at just 7 years old – quite a feat for someone so young.
Now a classically trained pianist who has gone on to play with orchestras across his native Finland, Jesse was initially never that interested in the more mechanical, production-focused side of music, preferring instead to concentrate on composing. However, as he got older and on the advice and support of his then music teacher, Jesse soon moved into production.
Whilst his focus remained on composition, Jesse’s dream was to one day become a fully-established music artist and after first hearing Swedish House Mafia’s ‘One’, he became instantly hooked. At the age of 18, he decided to start to produce House music and before long, he was picked up by EDM star Kryder – his debut track ‘The Heist’ was released via Kryder’s Sosumi Records imprint earlier this year.
Played by legendary DJs all over the world, ‘The Heist’ won Jesse support from the likes of Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Otto Knows, Alesso, Deniz Koyu, Norman Doray and BBC Radio 1 DJ Danny Howard, who played the track on his coveted ‘Dance Anthems’ show.
Jesse’s profile has since continued to build quickly and led to Jesse signing to Refune Music – a move that is set to launch his career as one of the future stars of contemporary electronic music.
After making a prestigious festival debut at Tomorrowworld in the US in 2014 and with his first Refune release coming soon, Jesse is entering the most exciting phase of his career to date.
